Sunset in the lagoon
I contemplate a beautiful sunset
and let out a deep breath,
the red brilliance of the sun
intensifies in the clear lagoon.
I taste the nectar of life,
the twilight weaves magic spells,
a wonderful symphony of sensations
brings happiness to my soul.
An old white boat goes by
and my dreams travel in it,
there is complete silence,
the afternoon dies in my arms.
I remember a book of poems
and I recite one from memory,
the sweetness of its verses
brightens up my heart.
The light of my emotions
is reflected on the horizon,
the charm of the sunset
makes my eyes shine with joy.
