The soul of the poet (as a homage to International Poetry Day)

The soul of the poet

The sweet words whirl
in a carousel of memories,
they show up on a paper,
fantastic verses originate.
The neat lines shudder
with the shaky fingers,
letters fall in love,
terms keep secrets.
The memory illuminates the sheet,
the magic looks it over,
phrases breathe the perfume
of the quick ballpen.
The feelings are flowers
in a heavenly garden,
a tear waters them,
the dark ink dissipates.
A hand joins dreams together
in the silent stanzas,
the music of life
lulls the soul of the poet.
